San Diego-based guitarist Alex Ciavarelli holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University. He released his debut album: "A Tribute To Oscar Peterson On Guitar" in 2024, featuring the music of virtuoso pianist Oscar Peterson adapted for jazz guitar.

Alex has toured extensively throughout the U.S. performing in straight ahead jazz and gypsy jazz ensembles. He can be found working as a freelance musician in the San Diego and Southern California area, performing in both group and solo settings. His influences include the likes of Joe Pass, Andreas Oberg, Oscar Peterson, Pat Martino, and  George Benson.
